Today, LG Dire Wolves announces the League of Legends squad will be embarking on a three-week preseason bootcamp in Busan, South Korea from December 8th.

The team will be preparing, bootcamp-style, for the upcoming OPL season starting in January. Three weeks will give the team ample time to fully experience the most competitive environment at the home of eSports. The team will be climbing the Korean solo queue ladder ranks as well as setting up scrims with LCK, Challengers Korea, LMS and LJL teams.

We believe international bootcamps are necessary in working towards significantly improving a WildCard team such as ours, and will give us the experience required to compete on the world stage. To get the most out of this opportunity we will be joined by Shern “Shernfire” Tai to utilise his knowledge from the past several months in Korea with a peak rank of number 4 on the solo queue Challenger ladder. Aside from in-game performance, the team will also be looking to explore Korean culture, from the food to visiting Busan’s best attractions.

We hope that all our fans will follow us on our trip and will stay tuned for exclusive content and behind-the-scenes footage from the region at the pinnacle of eSports.

Nathan “Rippii” Mott, Founder and CEO commented: “It’s exciting to be the first ever OPL team to bootcamp in South Korea. There’s a lot of work to be done to get where we want to be and I’m confident this bootcamp will be another major stepping stone.
