Shernfire Re-Signs with Dire Wolves

March 11, 2021

Following Rippii’s announcement last night, we’re excited to announce that Shern ‘Shernfire’ Tai has renewed his contract for 2018!After an extended 10 month boot-camp in Korea Solo Queue, Shernfire came to us towards the end of 2016, expressing his desire to demonstrate his ability as a player in the OPL – Oceanic Pro League and eventually proving himself on the international stage. Shern quickly established his dominance in the Jungle, resulting in taking out back to back championships with the team this year.Shernfire has been a key component in our domestic success, bringing the experience playing against the World’s Best League of Legends players from his time in Korea. Throughout the year, Shern was both cooperative and supportive of others within the team environment, and acted as a leader in continually looking for ways to be one step ahead of the competition.Shern has the drive and desire to achieve great things that not only resonates with his teammates, but also aligning with what we at Dire Wolves are looking to accomplish as an organisation. Shern embodies what it means to be a Dire Wolf with an exceptional work ethic, open minded nature and appreciative outlook on learning and progression.

Although last year I failed what I set out to achieve, I’ve developed greatly as a player, both in and out of game with the support from Dire Wolves and I’m looking forward to continuing my journey with the team. I really want to change the results for next year and believe at Dire Wolves we have the people and experience to achieve this” – Shern “Shernfire” Tai

Shernfire is a player that understands the importance of creative and forward thinking in order to close the gap between OCE and other regions. I’m eager to continue working alongside Shern as we work towards having a world class performance on the international stage.” – Coach Curtis ‘Sharp’ Morgan
