Today, LG Dire Wolves is excited to welcome back a familiar face to the League of Legends squad in Calvin “k1ng” Truong.
An original member of the founding 2014 squad, k1ng exploded onto the scene in OPL’s 2015 Split 1 with LG Dire Wolves’ dominant run to the Grand Final. Quickly making a name for himself as a young, talented individual, he became regarded by many as Oceania’s next best ADC. After spending the 2016 season with Legacy, and most recently holding rank 1,2,3 on the Challenger ladder, joining the Wolfpack is a fresh start for k1ng.
Reuniting with k1ng is another step towards LG Dire Wolves’ vision of cementing its position as a globally competitive eSports club. Having access to the right resources through our sponsors such as LG, combined with the best practices in sports business that Guinevere Capital bring, will play a major role in k1ng’s future development both in and out of game.
Calvin “k1ng” Truong commented: “My return to LG Dire Wolves is unexpected but I feel as if it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. The opportunity given to me will make me a better player than ever and I have absolute belief in my teammates to win, old and new. LG Dire Wolves have the resources to mould us into a world class team.”
