LG Dire Wolves will be heading into OPL Split 2 with a new face in the top lane. Please join us in welcoming Brandon ‘BioPanther’ Alexander to the Dire Wolves as our starting top laner.
We recruited BioPanther into our development pathway squad, Dire Cubs earlier this year. Within his short time on the team, BioPanther has already shown promise through his development in the OCS and we felt he was ready to move to the main roster.
While other teams have looked internationally for their players, we are true believers in developing local talent and are confident that our team’s strong culture will allow BioPanther to flourish into one of our region’s top players.
As a result, Ryan ‘Chippys’ Short has been moved to a substitute position. Chippys has been a massive part of Dire Wolves success with a phenomenal Split 1 winning the OPL MVP award. We have been really impressed with the professionalism in which Chippys has taken this news and have allowed him to explore his options on other teams, being a top caliber OPL player.
