Today, we announce the release of Stephen ‘Triple’ Li and Calvin ‘k1ng’ Truong from the organisation.
As outlined in our recent post about 2019, we’ve decided to take a new direction with a focus on developing the next generation of OPL talent into championship players.
We would like to thank them for their efforts under the Dire Wolves banner, with k1ng being involved in our 4 OPL titles and Triple developing into one of the regions best players since joining us at the beginning of the year.
“k1ng and Triple have come a long way since becoming a Dire Wolf, both as players and people. We’ve faced many challenges together that I’m proud to say we were able to overcome. Both are fantastic players and I’m confident they will have no troubles in finding a new home.” – Nathan ‘Rippii’ Mott, Founder & CEO
“Although it’s a shame our journey ended on a disappointing note at Worlds, I’m grateful for the good and bad times that we’ve spent together on Dire Wolves. Having grown substantially as both a player and person this year, I hope that everyone continues to support me. Moving into 2019, I have no doubt that Dire Wolves will continue to succeed with their new player development approach.” – Stephen ‘Triple’ Li
“It’s been a long and crazy journey at Dire Wolves. Returning to my original team was a decision surrounded with fear and uncertainty but I can safely say that I regret nothing. Being one of two long-standing players through these past 2 years, I’ve been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Through all of this I’ve learnt more than I ever have about how to succeed and there’s no one else to credit other than all the staff and players I’ve had the pleasure of working and playing with. I’ve decided to move on in my career and would like to thank Dire Wolves and all the fans for the support I’ve received during my time as a Dire Wolf.” – Calvin ‘k1ng’ Truong
